Our App

PureNav is an app that allows you to be on time to the places that you go to often.


How to use PureNav

To use the app, you start by adding your home address and one common place that you go to often at specific times. The app will then suggest the best time to leave based on traffic to reach your destination on time. When the time comes, you will get an alert that reminds you to go. When the trip starts, the app will suggest two route options for you: the shortest and the safest route. You can choose either one. After the trip has ended, you will rate that trip so that other community members can learn from your review and the app can improve.

This app was developed specifically for use within the Globeville, Elyria-Swansea, and Cole communities for this study project. Using this app benefited local residents, as the collection of information informed the enhancement of projects.

FAQ: How to Use PureNav App

  • Go to the App Store for iPhone/Google Play Store for Android and search for 鈥PureNav

  • Install and open the app

  • Before using the app, make sure you are connected to the internet

  • To start using the app, you will need to register as a user

  • To register, enter your mobile number in the field where it says 鈥淢obile Number鈥

  • Click the orange button that says 鈥淟ogin鈥 at the bottom of the screen

  • If your number is correct, you will receive a text message with a verification number

  • Enter the verification number you received into the app

  • If you did not receive a verification number, tap on 鈥淩esend Verification Code鈥

  • The app will not ask you to log in each time you use the app unless you logged out or are using another phone

  • To log in, simply enter the phone number with which you have created an account previously

  • If it is a new phone, you will need to verify the mobile number again as you did in the 鈥淐reating an Account鈥 steps

  • When signing in for the first time, the app will ask for the home address during the setup process

  • If you have added the place, it will appear in the "Places" tab

  • If you have not added the home address, you can add it in "Places" using the "Add Place" button

  • You can edit the home address by clicking on the home address in the "Places" tab and clicking on the "Edit" button

  • Go to the "Places" tab and click on "Add Place" to add a place

  • Click on an existing place and tap "Edit" to update a place

  • On the homepage, a trip will be displayed under "Next Trip"

  • Click on "Go Now" to start the trip

  • Go to the settings tab and select "Travel" to change the route preferences
  • If a trip is completed, it will take you to the "Ratings" screen, which asks for your rating and feedback about the trip
  • Go to the "Trips" tab and select "Past Trips"
  • You can view upcoming trips on the homepage under the heading "Upcoming Trips"

  • You can also view them in the "Trips" tab and "Future Trips"

  • To change preferences, go to the "Settings" tab

  • Tap on "Alerts" to manage alerts

  • Tap on "Travel" to change route preferences

  • Tap on "User Information" to see user information
