This could result in your devices frequently dropping their network connection. This issue may be most apparent when using the ’s iClicker service on your iPhone. This is why for UCB Wireless and UCB Guest, and even eduroam, OIT strongly recommends turning the Private Wi-Fi Address setting to “off” on these networks.

Read more and follow step by step instructions.

Off

Traditional

0

On

White
Thu, 28 Aug 2025 15:41:01 +0000 Nancy Portner 3385 at /fm FMIT News: Upcoming Meridian Upgrade /fm/2025/08/15/fmit-news-upcoming-meridian-upgrade FMIT News: Upcoming Meridian Upgrade Nancy Portner Fri, 08/15/2025 - 12:20

Categories:

 Employee News FMIT News

We would like to inform you of an upcoming upgrade to Meridian that may affect your current interface and workflow.

For PowerUser Interface Users:

The upgrade introduces several changes to the interface which is now called PowerWeb, including updates to functionality and the location of key features. Be sure you use approved tools logged in under your university account to ensure protection of university data. Review the approved data level to determine what type of data should be shared with each tool. Both the add-on licensed version of Microsoft 365 Copilot and the free Copilot Chat are now rated for non-public data. You should always redact confidential information when using tools rated for public data only.

Creative solutions can help you work within these parameters and still receive the great work benefits and efficiencies offered by using AI tools. For example, you can save a Zoom meeting transcript and later use O365 Copilot Chat to summarize it. Before sharing AI generated content, always review the output for accuracy and tone, and double check to ensure correctness and watch for bias.

What's Next?

We encourage you to get familiar with the technology by using it. CU system offers several free, self-paced online Copilot trainings through Percipio/Skillsoft to help you get started. If you get stuck, feel free to ask any member of the FMIT team questions or request a follow-up. We'd love to hear what you find useful or any limitations you encounter.
